Just working on something new. Its not complete yet!!
Edit: I've tried fixing the gamma, brightness and contrast on my monitor to bring it closer into line with how my paintings end up printing. Maybe I still need to make further adjustements. I guess I've been used to a very bright screen.

Its always educational to copy from "real life" even if its a 2d image on my computer lol. Like, there is green in her dress. I tend to colour what I see still, not what is there too. Like the colours at the base of her neck. I see pinks and orange and they are there but are shades of brown and I can't quite pick it up accurately but I'm getting there. In any case, I like pushing the variations in colour anyways :)

The goal was then in sight.

A "speed painting" that took a "quick" 2.5+ hours.

I plan to polish this up some time.

Some Johny guy?

I had fun with this one and did it in an hour and a bit or so. I didn't zoom in until the very end and its a decent likeness although... the more I look at it now the more I realise I could fix up a few things.

People may not even be able to tell who. His face is supposed to be a bit longer and his jaw fuller. His eyes should be a little softer. His ear is a little too big. His jawline too angular. Lips slightly wider and less tall. Other than that I'm pleased. I may rework him a bit some time.
I honestly don't know exactly who anyways. He is an older actor. Any guesses?

I have been sitting on this for a while. My art certainly was derailed for a while and I"m getting a bit tired of working on this one. Its alright but I suppose I did learn a bit more about hair from it.
